MOSES is a clinical handheld application that is used by anesthesia providers. The software offers many benefits for the anesthesia provider and the patient.

MOSES is used to create an Anesthesia Record along with other capabilities. MOSES creates a Pharmacy Charge Form, creates an Anesthesia Billing Form, and creates a Quality Assurance Database.

You can do your pre-operative rounds with your handheld without the need of paper! You can download your data into the base computer so someone else can upload the data onto their handheld and proceed with a selected patient! You can carry your handheld to the post anesthesia recovery unit, intensive care unit, and other places and still be recording the care! You can even be recording more than one patient at the same time for laboring epidural patients. Turn your handheld off and when you turn it back on, the page it is where you need it to be!

MOSES can be networked from the Anesthesia Department to the Pharmacy, Laboratory, and to the Anesthesia Billing Office!

When a medication is selected or entered into the software program, it automatically goes to the Pharmacy Billing Form. Drugs are automatically totaled and recorded so that the pharmacy department can make the appropriate charges to the patient. This eliminates filling out a drug charge sheet, forgetting to charge a drug, and repeating paperwork!

Either the anesthesia provider can enter laboratory data or the laboratory can enter data from the laboratory department. You will always have the latest data in your handheld!

MOSES creates an Anesthesia Billing Form. The Anesthesia Billing Department can bring this form up on their computer and enter appropriate data. The anesthesia provider pertaining to the case involved has already entered data. By the anesthesia provider entering data on their end eliminates repeating paperwork by the Anesthesia Billing Department!

Patients can now have their record on a disc or CD. Electronic charts will now make it possible for patients to transfer their charts to any other healthcare provider!

MOSES creates a Quality Assurance Database. Just check the appropriate boxes on the handheld and the data is transferred to the database! No paperwork is needed!
